Q&A:
Why have you decided to take on this project?
We at Blissful Gaming have decided to take on this project for several reasons. As most know, retail WoW (Blizzard World of Warcraft) is coming out with a new expansion. Cataclysm. And much after that is out, there will be many unstable cores that are based of the expansion. A knock off. Blissful Gaming wants to make something that makes the retail WoW players jealous. Something that really helps out the WoW private server industry.
Why a 2.4.3 core and client?
Even though it doesn't seem like it, Wrath of the Lich King is pretty knew. Many Private Servers are still struggling to keep stable terms with it. The 2.4.3 cores are extremely stable. They have had more time in development to keep them strong. The client in terms of scripting is easy to work with, and there is a LOT of raw material to work with. You wont know its a 2.4.3 server though. The Blood Elfs and Dranie will not be part of the World of Blaze. Instead, the two new and even better races will be added. And the Outlands will have little to no part of the new lore.
Will it be instant 60/65, or will we have to level?
We have not totally decided on that yet. We plan to make it a fun-server with 7-10x rates, to make it fun enough to run through the old stuff, yet slow enough to thurally experience the new Lore.
Why the 65 level cap?
Blissful gaming is trying to stay away from the Burning Crusade concept, and convert it to a whole brand new one. As we said in an earlier answer, there will be only hints of actual Burning Crusade content added. No Blood Elfs, no Dranie, no level 70.
What does "Custom" really mean?
Custom means a brand new model and stats. That means its not just going to be some old model remade with new epic stats, that means a completely brand new 3D model to look at and equip. Kind of like when Blizzard releases new models. That means new custom zones too.
What is a "Blaze set"?
A Blaze set is basically a new line of tier armor. It will be a cool new custom set of armor players will get to experience with. Hopefully in further patches of the expansion, there will be Blaze set 2....etc.
How will getting the expansion work?
The expansion will NOT actually go on/replace any of your other World of Warcraft folders. You will download a whole new client (that will be custom packed into a installer, no torrents/zips.) that will be installed onto your computer as a different name folder. IT WILL NOT AFFECT ANY OF YOUR OTHER WOW FOLDERS.
No new class?
Well a lot of thought has put into it. And we know how much people LOVE new classes. But its a VERY difficult thing to. Because there is very little to work off of for a new class, it makes it difficult to do on a 2.4.3 core and client. More research will be done of course. And if there is any spark of help on a new class, updates will be made.
Is there a BETA?
There will be. The project is brand new and is in raw closed BETA right now. Once things start to organize, and we figure out a simple way to feed small patches to the testers, the BETA will be released to the public.
